Hi All
CHRISTMAS MEAT ORDERS
Thankyou to all who have ordered produce for the Festive season - if you
have any queries regarding your order please do not hesitate to contact me
at: ellenden at harvington.net - I check the mail daily.
I am emailing the Poultry orders to Toll Gate Farm and Adlington tomorrow,
probably about lunch time. Both suppliers have said they will take orders
after this date, but may not be so accurate with weights. If you want to
order via email that is not a problem. We will also have Freemans Free
Range Chickens available for Christmas and New Year.
BEEF
We have fresh beef available this weekend, next and between Christmas and
New Year - we will continue taking orders until it has all been sold.
LAMB
We will have Fresh lamb in the shop this weekend - this will be the last
opportunity to purchase lamb before Christmas. With so many customers
coming back to the shop and commenting on how well our meat freezes I have
every confidence in saying there will be no problem if you are wanting it
for the Christmas period. In addition we can keep it here for you until
you are ready to collect.
GAME / PORK / GAMMON / SAUSAGES / BACON / STUFFING
We are continuing to take orders for the above, probably until next week -
I will check with the suppliers and confirm the last ordering date - I
think it will be Thursday 18th December for some. We will have fresh pork
& game available this weekend
VEGETABLES / FRUIT / BREAD / MILK & CREAM
we are taking orders for all of the above - even if you want to select your
own vegetables etc. it would help us greatly if we have an idea of the
quantities to order.
MINCE PIES, CHRISTMAS PUDDING, BRANDY BUTTER, RUM BUTTER & FESTIVE
CHEESECAKES
Both Sues' are supplying us with their own individual mince pies, some have
already ordered for Christmas.
Richard's (Food Genie) Christmas puddings have sold - any feedback on these
would be much appreciated if you have tried and tested!
We will have Organic Brandy Butter, Rum Butter, Raspberry & Red Current
Cheesecake and Orange & Cointreau cheesecake available this weekend.
Supplied to us by The Dairy House, the same company who supply us with
yogurts.
ICE CREAM
Last year we took orders for half Napolis (2.31) and Full Napolis (4.71) of
Spot Loggin Ice Cream - this is a more economical way of buying the Ice
Cream unless of course you are like me.... the more in the tub the more you
eat! We now have in stock both the 100mls and 500mls of:
* Figgy Pudding,
* Irish Cream,
* Bewitching Berry
* Just Ginger
LOCAL FUDGE
We have been approached by Ann and Peter from Evesham who make their own
fudge using only local ingredients. In the shop at the moment we have
Vanilla Chocolate and Triple Layer to name but a few.
SAUSAGE MEAT
We are now stocking 500g tubes of Sausage meat in the following flavours:
Plain Pork
Pork & Chestnut
Malvern Victoria
COCKTAIL SAUSAGES / BLACK OLIVE COCKTAIL SCONES / PARMESAN & SESAME
SHORTBREADS
The above will be available this weekend.
COTSWOLD CHUTNEY
After selling out on the open day, we now have Sarah's chutney stocked in
the shop, including the "Christmas" and "Tally Ho"! variety which were the
best sellers on the day.
CHRISTMAS TREES & WREATHS
We are selling Christmas trees, both varieties are English Grown, the one
at the entrance to the shop is a non-needle drop. We are also taking
orders for Door Wreaths and Table Centre pieces made by Lizzie White from
Norton.
ADOPT A HEN
Some customers have come into the shop and asked what this bascially
entails, and arguing that it shouldn't just be for children! It basically
costs £5. For this you will be able to collect and take home half a dozen
eggs twice a year - the rest of the money will help towards the costs of
keeping the hens especially when they are going through the moult and are
not laying - It is at this time most commercial units "exchange" their hens
for young pullets - we just seem to keep adding!
FARMING NEWS
The ewes here at Ellenden are looking like they are getting close to
lambing - David is still planning to have a "lambing Day" where you can
come and visit, and hopefully see some lambs being born. Other than that
it is very quiet on the farming front - I can tell David is having
withdrawel symptoms from sitting on a tractor!
Have a good week, thankyou again for all your orders to date.
Kind regards
Sara
