Hi All 

Thank you again to all who have adopted Hens recently - we are open every
day over Easter, usual hours, so please feel free to come and visit your
hen! 

NEW SEASON ASPARAGUS 

We currently have Harvington Asparagus available in the shop - lets hope
for more warm weather and our own should be well on the way!  

In addition we still have HARVINGTON RHUBARB and BUCKLAND TOMATOES from
BROADWAY. 

RECIPE OF THE WEEK 

This recipe was taken from the "Tuck-in" booklet we give away free Please
send some more recipes if you have any, it is far more fun sending recipes
from customers, and rewarding when people come in and say how successful
they have been! 

BEEF WITH FRUIT CHUTNEY AND TOMATOES SERVES 2 

INGREDIENTS 

2 Sirloin Steaks 

Salt and Freshly milled black pepper 

15mls/1tbsp olive oil 

150g/5oz fruit chutney 

30ml/2tbsp water 

100g/4oz cherry tomatoes halved 

30ml/2tbsp freshly chopped flat leaf parsley 

For the potatoe and turnip mash: 

675g/1.5lb potatoes,
peeled and diced 

Salt and freshly milled black pepper 

50ml/2floz single cream or milk 

25g/1oz butter 

METHOD 

1. Prepare the mash by boiling the potatoes and turnips for 15-20mins,
drain, season and mash with cream or milk and butter 

2. Heat the oil in a large pan season the steaks and cook according to
your preference. Set aside to rest on a warm plate. 

3. Add the fruit chutney to the pan with water. Simmer for 2-3mins,
stirring occasionally. Add the tomatoes and continue to cook for a further
1-2mins. Add the Parsley 

4. Serve the steaks with the fruit chutney and tomatoe sauce, mash and
seasonal vegetables or a crisp salad

FARMING NEWS 

We are still bottle feeding the lambs - but they have been reduced to
three feeds a day - so they are skipping the 5.30pm feed. We are still
feeding them at 12.30pm if anyone would like to attend.
