Hello All 

 Thankyou for all the emails and positive comments we have received
recently - after a long day it is just the tonic required, and is very much
appreciated.  

 I am also pleased to hear the recipes are working well!  

  COFFEE MACHINE 

 We now have a "Bean to Cup" coffee machine installed in the shop serving,
a variety of flavours. The machine is self service and simply works by the 


 press of a button - I received the following email at the weekend which I
would like to share with you:  

 " Just to let you know officially that the coffee was great! We enjoyed 
sitting in the sun watching the world go by, listening to the hens 
clucking.

Magic"! __ _We are currently charging £1.20 / Cup_ 

NEW LINES 

We have the following new frozen lines available: 

* Breaded Scampi 

* Chicken Goujons 

The latter was inspired by my own children, as I was fed up with my mother
buying from the Supermarket when a quick meal option is required! 

SEASONAL FRUIT ">We currently
have available: 

* Our own Premium and Standard rounds of Asparagus, traditionally grown
outside - this is picked daily by Cyril to whom we are very grateful - it
is one of the few crops which has not become mechanized! 

* Harvington Rhubarb 

* Cornish New Potatoes 

* Buckland Tomatoes from Broadway 

Hopefully NEW SEASON STRAWBERRIES will not be too far away...... 

FRESH MEAT THIS WEEKEND  

We will have the following fresh meat available from Friday:

FARMING NEWS 

We have been given yet more hens from the village, and 7 ducks.... We are
hoping that the ducks will lay so we can supply our own duck eggs in the
shop. we are fast becoming an animal sanctuary, however it is nice for the
children to be able to see exactly where the food they eat comes from. 

OPEN FARM SUNDAY JUNE 7TH 

 I can now confirm that the Horse ">Anyone can enter with their dog -
Emily has her name top of the list! Each entrant will be paired with up
with a Horse & Rider, (pony club children I teach have kindly volunterred
to come along). The Horse ">RECIPE OF THE WEEK - Thankyou to the Marsh
Family who sent this email from South Africa! 

FRIED ASPARAGUS WITH SESAME SEED  

Ingredients;  

500g blanched asparagus  

1 T Olive Oil  

2T Sesame Seeds  

Seasoning  

6 Slices Melba Toast cut into pieces  

Heat pan with olive oil until hot, toss asparagus pieces in pan for 2
minutes, add sesame seeds, toss again, season and then serve with Melba
toast, serves
six.  

Not sure what the weather is going to do this weekend - never helps with
the ordering, so I hope we have got it right.....
