_FARMING NEWS_

_The ducks we acquired last week must be feeling settled as they have
started to lay! We just need to get the eggs tested before we can sell them
in the shop - watch this space......._

_OPEN FARM SUNDAY JUNE 7TH_
_David has organised a working demonstration of a "Ford Versatile" a high
horse powered tractor with cultivator. There will be access for children to
climb into the cab inbetween demonstrations; and the opportunity for
planting Sunflower and Sweet Corn seeds which they can hopefully watch grow
in the weeks following the day._

RECIPE OF THE WEEK
As Spring lamb is in season I am very grateful to Tom for this Mint Sauce
recipe!
INGREDIENTS:
Fresh mint
Honey or sugar
Wine vinegar
Boiling water
METHOD
Wash mint, remove leaves from stalks color: black; font-family: "Courier
New";">Put them into a glass or cup and
gently press them down.
Add boiling water to just cover them. No more.
Mix in vinegar and honey to taste and leave to stand for 30 minutes or so
until required.
I think that covers everything for this week - for once I hope we get some
of the rain forecast as the ground and crops are getting a bit desperate.
