Hello All

The sun is shining and it actually feels warm today.......Lets hope it is
a sign of things to come!

MOTHERS DAY 14th March - GIFT IDEAS
A reminder it is Mothers Day on the 14th March - we will have bunches of
Alstro and Baskets of Primroses available.  In addition we have currently
got "Dug up green" snowdrops in stock.  We were approached by Trisha from
Broadway, and we are always happy to give local suppliers an opportunity
to sell their produce through the shop.

If you are looking for something a bit different we have got the
following "Jamie at Home" products in the shop which would make lovely
gifts.

We can make hampers up to your own specification with:

Simply tell us a price you would like to spend and we will do the
rest.  Alternatively you can select the products you would like in the
hamper and we will do the finishing touches for you.  

If within a 5 mile radius of the shop we can deliver any of the above
gifts on the day

RECIPE OF THE WEEK

Pork & Peanut Noodles

This recipe was given to me a while ago by a friend - I cooked it again
on Saturday night, it is very easy and quick to make if you are always on
a time scale like ourselves!

Serves:  4
Preparation Time: 5 mins
Cook:  15 minutes

Ingredients - All available in the shop
300g Medium Egg Noodles
500g pork mince
250g frozen peas
3 tbsp crunchy peanut butter
1 red chilli deseeded and finely chopped
2 tsp soft brown light sugar
1 tbsp light soy sauce.

Method
Cook the pork mince over a high heat for 10 mins or until the juices have
evaporated and the pork is starting to look crisp.
Add the frozen peas and fry together for 2 mins.
Whisk the peanut butter, chilli, brown sugar and soy sauce in a bowl and
loosen with 2 tbsp warm water.  Add to the mince
Boil a large pan of water and add the noodles to the water, simmer for 3
minutes.
Once cooked either add the noodles to the mince or serve separate.


FARMING NEWS
Rosie and her lamb have gone back to the farm - she did not settle here on
her own.....However David has told me there are FOUR lambs at the farm in
Coughton which are being bottle fed. We are bringing them over here to
ELlenden, probably next week. There will be opportunities to bottle feed
again.....Please send an email if you would like to know times and when
they actually arrive.

I have registered today for Open Farm Sunday on June 13th - I am going to
start praying tonight for a warm sunny day........
