Hello All

I think people are "barbecued out" this week - the dry, warm weather has
been such a novelty everyone has made the most of it - rain will be a
novelty when it happens!

COTSWOLD PIE COMPANY
This week we will have Beef & Purity Ale pies in Fresh, made with our own
beef.  There are Stow
pies and Steak & Kidney pies available in the freezer.


SEASONAL PREODUCE .

* ELLENDEN HOME GROWN RASPBERRIES - All my children are enjoying these! 
they are not sprayed and picked fresh daily 

* LEDBURY & EBRINGTON STRAWBERRIES

* EBRINGTON FRESH PEAS - The Drinkwater family are supplying us with their
  own fresh peas.

* EBRINGTON BROAD BEANS

* EBRINGTON RHUBARB

* ENGLISH BRAMLEY APPLES

* BOBBY / GREEN BEANS FROM EVESHAM 

I phoned Mrs Morris this evening, our local supplier of Evesham Cherries,
and she told me there should be some available Monday! 



RECIPE OF THE WEEK - CREAMY BEEF AND MUSTARD PASTA

Feeds:  4

Time to Cook: 15 minutes

Oven Temperature: Gas Mark 4, 200 C, 400 F

INDGREDIENTS

450g (1lb) Ellenden Sirloin, Rump, Topside Frying Steak cut into 5cm (2
inch) strips
150g (5oz) Dried Pasta
5ml (1 tsp) sunflower oil
1 small onion, peeled and finely chopped
50g (2oz) fine green beans, topped & cut in half.
200g of Sweet corn (frozen or in a can)
150ml (1/4 pint) Creme Fraiche
30ml (2 tbsps) wholegrain mustard
10ml (2 tsps) grated lemon zest
Salt & Pepper
30ml (2tbsps) Fresh Chives, Chopped.

METHOD
Cook the pasta according to the packet instructions, drain and set aside

Heat the oil in a large pan or wok and cook the beef strips in batches for
3-4 minutes until brown

Add the Onions, Beans and Sweetcorn and cook for a further 3-4 minutes.

Mix together the Creme Fraiche with the mustard and lemon zest.  Add to
the pan with the beef and stir in the hot pasta.  Season and add the
chives

Spoon into a large pasta bowl and eat immediately with crusty bread.
