RECIPE OF THE WEEK - BEEF, BROAD BEAN & HORSE RADDISH SALAD

Serves: 2

Cooking time: Rare: 2 1/2 minutes on each side
Medium: 4 minutes on each side
Well Done: 6 minutes on each side

INGREDIENTS
2 Ellenden Beef Sirloin Steaks OR Cooked Cold Roast Beef
225g (8oz) New Potatoes
175g (6oz) Ellenden Home Grown Broad Beans
85g bag of Watercress
120ml (8tbsp) Creme Fraiche
15-30ml (1-2 tbsp) Mrs Darlingtons Horseradish Sauce

METHOD
1. In a pan of boiling water cook new potatoes for 10-12 minutes or until
cooked through. During the last 5 mins of cooking time add broad beans to
the pan. Drain and leave to cool slightly

2. Meanwhile cook steaks to your preference. Alternatively use slices of
cooked cold Topside/Silverside/Roasting/Brisket beef. Take half the
watercress and arrange on plates

3. Chop the remaining watercress and mix with creme fraiche and
horseradish sauce. Mix with the cooked potatoes and broad beans and serve
spooned over the watercress.

EAT Serve with chunks of crusty bread

FISHING NEWS - LESSONS
Mal Jones who very kindly attended our Open Day is now offering fishing
lessons at the lake. We are not charging him for the use of the pool, he
charges £7.50 per hour and is happy to have two people per hour. If
anyone
is interested is booking lessons for themselves, children, grand children
etc. Please let me know and I can put you in contact with Mal.

William and Page who "had a go" on the open day have already been for a
lesson last Sunday. it is a lovely tranquil spot in this weather - bring
a
chair and a book and enjoy the weather in peace in quiet whilst the
children are supervised!

I think that covers everything for this week, enjoy the seasonal summer
weather!

Best wishes
