JUMP FOR JOSH
I would like to start this email by enlightening you to a very worthy
event that is taking place this coming Sunday.

The message below has been written by Lesley Driver, a very loyal customer
of ours:

"14 local parents are Sky Diving on Sunday 30th May to raise money for
Acorns Children's Hospice.   So far they have raised over £10,000.   They
are doing the jump in memory of Josh Harvey from Alcester who died three
years ago, aged 8".

OPEN FARM SUNDAY JUNE 13TH
Please come and support our Open day if you are in the area. There is no
entry fee, and we will be raising money for both St Richards Hospice and
the Air Ambulance.

Cathy and I walked the Nature Trail on Monday with Matthew in the push
chair - good fittening work, and a lovely walk with Questions and fact
sheets along the way!  All the completed forms will be put into a free
prize draw with the opportunity to adopt one of our hens.

If you do get tired along the way, there will be the opportunity to pick
up the tractor and trailer half way round - Little legs tire very easily!

My mother is getting organised with the Seed planting table.  There will
be the opportunity to plant seeds to take home and nuture, with hopefully
something to eat at the end of it!

Egg oollecting will also take place through out the day - there will be a
timetable available on the day.

Natural whole Milk and Low Fat yogurt to the produce range

Weighing the eggs seems to be working, I feel everyone is then getting a
fair deal.  Just to remind you of the price range:

Small eggs (under 55g) 75p half a dozen
Medium eggs (55g - 65g) £1.25 half a dozen
Large eggs (65g - 85g)  £1.50 half a dozen

We have put the eggs into boxes with a price on each box.

RECIPE OF THE WEEK 
AUTHENTIC GURKHA LAMB SKEWERS

Ingredients
800g Ellenden Minced Lamb
100g Onions
50g Flour
50g Ground almonds
5g Ginger paste
5g Coriander
Juice of a lemon
5g Ground Cumin
5g Ground Coriander 

METHOD
Place all the ingredients in a bowl and blend well.
Form into small balls, place on an skewer and then barbecue or grill
Serve with Fresh Crispy salad, Warmed Pitta Bread & Cucumber Achar mixed
with Dairy House Natural Yoghurt.


FARMING NEWS
David's work on the farm has really stepped up this week.  He is busy
making Silage for the cattle to eat during the winter months, and Shearing
some of the 300 head of ewes we have.  He didn't think his father would
manage to shear all 300 on the Open Day by himself!!

I personally love the weather as it is at the moment  - not so hot. 
Working in a woooden building in temperatures of 27 degrees was tiring,
but Ann said after the winter months she dare not complain!!!!
